Hospice of Citrus County Patient Recieves Honorary Diploma
Lecanto, FL – Evelyn Broesler a patient at Hospice House wished for a High School Diploma. Through the Wishes Program, Sam Himmel, Superintendent of the Citrus County School System granted her wish. Family, Friends and Staff gathered for a graduation celebration in the lobby of the Hospice House. Anthony J. Palumbo, CEO presented Evelyn with her Honorary High School Diploma. Evelyn received a wrist corsage, flowers, graduation cake and the traditional graduation cap.
Through donations, Hospice of Citrus County is able to grant patients and families their final wishes. When a patient is appropriate for hospice care and has symptoms that can be addressed in an acute care setting, inpatient hospice care may be appropriate. Our 16-bed Hospice House provides care for patients in the final stages of terminal illness.
