Military Order of the Purple Hearts Hold Monthly Meeting at Hospice of Citrus County ’s Hospice House

Chapter 776 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart held their monthly membership meeting at Hospice of Citrus County’s Hospice House located on Audubon Park Path in Lecanto.  The Purple Heart Medal is awarded to members of the Armed Forces of the United States for wounds received in action from a hostile force. The Military Order of the Purple Heart was formed in 1932 for the protection and mutual interest of all who have received the decoration. Composed exclusively of Purple Heart recipients, it is the only veterans service organization comprised strictly of “combat” veterans.   Pictured leading the meeting is Commander J.B. Haskins.
